STEP 01
Observing & Listening
Before anything gets drawn, real time goes into understanding how you live, work, and enjoy the intangibles of life. The existing site or spaces are carefully observed and heard: where the light falls, how the wind moves, what makes it unique. No place is the same.
STEP 02
Collaborative Design
Initial concepts are discussed and vetted with the client to narrow down a shared design direction. Engineers and builders are best brought in early to provide their energy and knowledge.
STEP 03
Materialization
The combined use of digital technology (3D modeling) and tangible methods (sketching, models, raw materials) allows for a thorough exploration of space and form, proportions, thresholds, light, texture, and color. All of it matters, but never at the cost of warmth or fun.
